This reportage made by Arte (The german and french channel) illustrates perfectly the huge problem of the electronic waste in Africa.

As I've already said it on a recent article, electronic waste are brought from all over the world to africa illegaly or as a "gift" to reduce the numerical break.

Sometimes good intention could be badly made and have terrible repercussion.

These situations show how our world is unfair. We create the bad economical situation in these countries (or anyway we don't let them a chance to grow up in "stealing" their mineral ressources). And then we use this bad economical situation, to exploit them with nasty job, saying we give them jobs... Moreover this activities of dismanting computers, distroy their environement and they won't be able in the futur to use their fiels to feed themselves....

With my insignificant voice, I try to think on what could be the best solutions of this problem:

-We have to control more the electronic waste, especially on the shipping. The law has to be clearer and finally I think it could be great to have a world court against the environnemental crime (Which are indeed crime against humanity).

-We have to improve our methods and means of recycling computers in occidental country. (China is already one step beyond us in this field)

-We have to help them to get more of this new technology of recycling. I'm sure that if it's well done, it could be a great source of wealth.

Anyway it has to be done but not this way !!

Since the begining of the summer, the news and the NGO advertisement have inform us about the africain famine in somalia. 

What's really going?    What's teach us this human disaster?

I'm not a specialist of this question, I'm neither not in the place to know how it happen but i would to write and know more about it because i think it is important and medias don't speak enough about this huge problem:

This famine is the greater never recorded in Africa since 60 years with more than 12 millions people involved.

The UN Organization says that 1.6 billion US dollars would be necessary to help this famine but at 17 july 2011 only the half of this sum was given by the different state and union. Others Organizations (non gouvernemental) work also there but a lot of them went out of this district because of the violence. They are also in a lack of money: for example "action contre la faim" receive only 1.6 millions euros for urgence in africa where as the same association receive 12 millions for the tsunami in 2005.

Different reason could be at the origin of this lack of money:

 Most of the occidental people are in hollydays and didn't really realise the problem but also the violence of the shebbab could cool down the giver because they are not sure that their money are going in the right hand.

 Even if the climate conditions have to be taken into account, the problem of violence in somalia is really important and he is indeed the main factor of this famine. The Fao have study the fact that huge famine appear only in time and place of violence.

This extreme famine in africa shows the lack of anticipation of the world because the UN Organization have already predict at the begining of the year this disaster. The Governement are critized to not reduce the shebbab power before and to participate only when the famine is here.

What it's sure it's that this part of africa needs food and it won't appear without money.The french minister of agriculture have a good word about that during a special meeting of FAO in Rome: "If we don't take the necessaries measures, the hunger will be the scandal of the century". Do the world will react in the next weeks?  All a generation is in play.
